Black pincushion scabiosa seeds

Die Blüten der Schwarzen Skabiose färben Stoffe und Garne in Tönen von petrol-türkis bis zu blauviolett, ganz ähnlich den Blüten der Schwarzen Stockrose – anders als die Stockrose blühen sie aber schon in dem Jahr, in dem man sie aussäht! Wie die Samen der Sunflower Hopi Black Dye empfehle ich sie besonders für bundle dyeing.

The annual plant thrives in beds or containers. The long-stemmed flowers are in bloom from July to October and can grow up to 80 cm high. Give it a sunny spot with well-drained, moderately nutrient-rich soil.

Regionally grown seeds (organic). They are also part of the kit with several dye plants.

Start indoors: from mid march–may
